“FOR PALESTINE”
On October 11, 2023, I went on bike towards Hermannplatz thinking something would happen as all Pro-Palestine demonstrations, public display of Palestine solidarity (flags, shirts, keffiyeh etc.) was banned - and I was right, cause as I arrive I see to young men being detained and surrounded by a handfull of cops. This would be the first time for me, seeing how the Berlin police force violently would (try to) shut down voices in solidarity with our brother and sisters in Palestine. For the first month hereafter all gathering and demonstrations were banned - Sonnenalle, home to the biggest Palestinian population in Europe was at times closed off, with check points to enter the street. Freedom of speech was non existing and it seems like Germany and still to this day, haven’t left 1938. Never again they said and yet the German government is one of the biggest accomplishes in the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people and their land. The photos here are from the various different days I’ve been in the streets over the last year, trying to document the voices, big and small who’s been in the streets relentlessly shouting for a FREE PALESTINE.
From the Global South, to Palesine, Sudan and Congo. We need an end to colonialism, racism, imperialism and the westerns world, the white mans hunger and greed for people, material and land that’s not theirs. No one is free until we’re all are free. Everywhere.
